our japanese kit kat tasting commences!

Fall 2009 / Spring 2010 Kit Kats

My friend Hsiao and I examined our bounty of Japanese Kit Kats and decided to document our journey to find every Kit Kit flavor made. Since we hadn’t tried any bizarre flavors before, we didn’t know what to expect. Armed with my laptop (to look up flavor names), a camera, and our palates, the tasting began.

(Disclaimer: we are not self acclaimed foodies or photographers, hence the minimal descriptions and blurry photos.)

The 1st four Kit Kats pictured, from left to right:

1: Salt & Caramel – slightly sweet and slightly salty. Reminded me of kettle corn. rating: B+

2: Yaki Imo (Roasted Sweet Potato)- i like sweet potatoes. But in a Kit Kat??!  WEIRDNESS. rating: D

3: Strawberry- tastes like it sounds. apparently there are at least 4 strawberry variations (at the time of this review) rating: C

4: Caramel Pudding (Halloween edition- geez how long do they keep these things on shelves b/c we ate these in March?) – tasted salty and sweet, very similar to the salt& caramel one.  rating B.

Stay tuned, there’s plenty more flavors to come!
